KIDS in the GAME’s Inspirational Awards programs discover, amplify, and celebrate inspirational young athletes. Our programs move us beyond the traditional motivators in competitive youth sports – performance statistics – and bring attention to what inspires us to excellence: character, courage, contribution and commitment. These team-oriented values live beyond the sports field, and transfer into the classroom, workplace, and family to strengthen the moral fiber of our society. These inspirational award stories motivate other youth to get and stay in the game. They also inspire communities to create more opportunities for youth to grow mentally, socially, and physically through sports.
The Inspireum Football Awards (www.inspireumfootballawards.com) recognize outstanding youth athletes – not because of their statistical performance, but because of their ability to inspire teammates, classmates and communities. In our first three seasons, over 1,000 incredible young athletes from all 50 states were nominated by coaches, parents and teammates for this prestigious award, generating over 6 million votes from fans across the country. In September 2011 we launched the Inspireum Soccer Awards (www.inspireumsoccerawards.com). This program, inclusive of female athletes, will discover, amplify, and honor hundreds of soccer players nationwide who display immense character, courage, contribution and commitment that inspires their teams, schools, and communities. KIDS in the GAME manages the scholarship program which grants $50,000 in academic scholarships annually to the top Finalists of these award programs.
