At KIDS in the GAME, we’re working to get and keep kids in the game. We provide academic scholarships to outstanding inspirational athletes, and financial assistance to low-income, underserved youth who cannot afford the increasing costs of playing sports. We also raise awareness of the importance of athletics in developing future leaders, with skills and values that transfer from the sports field into the classroom, workplace, family and community.
KIDS in the GAME’s core programming includes two flagship initiatives that help kids succeed in life through sports:
- Kids in the Game: To increase opportunities for youth to participate in sports regardless of ability, ethnicity or socio-economic background. This giving program connects donors with youth sports organizations and schools in need of support, creating more opportunities for low income, underserved youth to play sports.
- Inspirational Awards: Our national sports awards programs reward courage, commitment, character and contribution with college scholarships for athletes who inspire their teams to excellence. Celebrating these outstanding players inspires other youth to pursue sports as a positive, action-oriented path to self-discipline, leadership, strong academic performance and a healthy lifestyle.
